classic gumbo

Ingredients classic gumbo


1 lb Smoked sausage
1 lb Bacon
1 lb chicken breasts
1 lb Long grain rice unrinced
1 onion chopped
1 Bell pepper chopped
5 clove chopped garlic
12 oz tomato paste
3 tbsp seasalt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp habanero
1 tsp black pepper
6 cup water
2 tsp paprika

how to make classic gumbo


Simmer cut up sausage, chopped bacon, and cut up chicken in a large skillet with bell pepper, onion and garlic. Simmer until chicken is fully cooked.


In large pot add 1 pound of rice to 6 cups of water.


Add tomato paste, sea salt, cayenne, habenero, paprika and black pepper to rice and water. Turn stove top up to med-high and begin to slowly bring to a boil.


Once meats are ready simply add to pot of rice mixture and let come to a boil.


Once boiling set on simmer and cover until rice is fully cooked.
