apple crumble

Ingredients apple crumble


100 grams granulated sugar
150 grams plain flour
75 grams unsalted butter (soft)
4 Bramley Cooking Apples

how to make apple crumble


Preheat oven to 180°F or Gas Mark 4


Peel, core and slice the apples to 1-2cm thick (chunks if you desire)


Place the apples in a saucepan with 50g sugar and 2tsp of water cook until apples go mushy then place into an ovenproof dish


Put the remaining sugar, flour and butter into a mixing bowl using your hands mix until you get large crumbs sprinkle evenly onto the apples and place into the oven for 30mins
